01.20.2003 11:30am - General Madness Attacks Ted

... no, I guess that is not what GMAT stands for. But, general madness has attacked Ted and he has decided to write his GMAT, and then maybe to think about doing his MBA. He decided this on Tuesday or Wednesday and has already signed up to write the test in mid-February. So he's been studying a lot. It is very strange.
We did visit Rick and Lori on Friday night, and go biking on Saturday, but other than that it was a quiet weekend. We couldn't even go to the Saturday Ultimate party because Ted wanted to study. Oh well, the good news was that I finally got a chance to read the new book I got for Christmas, Blood & Gold by Anne Rice.
If I ever do anything crazy like decide I'm going back to school, I hope somebody gives me a good slap and reminds me how much I hated studying and exams and all that. I don't think that Ted felt that HATE for school like I did at the end though, so maybe he'll be okay. Anyway, good luck Ted!

Yikes!! Ok, I think I am probably the person who has spent the most time locked in school here and as the coreman can tell you, it isn't pretty!! If you are sure this is what you want, then cool! If you are just bored, then maybe find a new hobby...it is cheaper and ultimately more fulfilling:)Don't MBA's cost like major USD$ now?

Ted: Sounds like you have made a major decision about the academic future, and the brain food that you are about to consume...
Nice...what can you see down the road with an MBA under your belt....?
You hear all the time these days how some folks (execs, sales, mktg., etc)
"if only the technical people had more business skills, THEN...."
Hmm.....so you are planning to top up your Math/CSC noggin' with some business creds to fit the executive profile...?
Ahhhh....if only the execs had more technical skills THEN.....
c:-)
You hear that o

Yes, I have been captured by Aliens, and I am looking for a labotomy so that I can forget my technical skills and replace them with Executive Rhetoric. See it is starting already... :)
Personally, I just want to move on. I am getting ansy, I need to be learning something, and I am not getting it where I am. I want more control to lead the direction of the technology I am working on. I want More POWER! Arharharharhar (Evil Laugh)
