We are now back in Texas after having a great and very busy holiday in BC. We managed to see almost everybody we wanted to (no small feat), ate lots of good food, and went skiing AND snowboarding. It was amazing, and really reminded us of how much we miss living in Canada and especially in BC. I have to say that I am not too happy to be back at work this morning. Oh well, back to the grind.

Some highlights of our trip:

• Dinner at Tropika with Corey and Justine - It was really great to visit with Corey and Justine. And also to eat at Tropika again - wow, I LOVE that restaurant. I swear I could eat there every day.
• Of course, all the family visiting and Christmas with the Ardrons.
• Visiting family in the Okanagan, and it was really nice helping Ted's mom Linda get her computer/music stuff up and running.
• Skiing at Silver Star mountain in Vernon with Lori. It's been a while since we skied but luckily it all came back and we had a great time!
• Seeing Ted's grade-school friend Dan in Kamloops, it was really neat seeing him so happy and settled down with his fiance Denise and her kids!
• New Years Eve - because we have so many friends with kids, and we wanted to see them all, we decided to have a kid-friendly New Years. That was pretty different, and funny. The kids were so cute and all had a great time. And so did the adults!
• Another great dinner - Thai food at Salathai on Cambie - YUMMMMMM!
• Our first try at snowboarding at Cypress Mountain in Vancouver with Ted's sister Elise. Yikes! It was hard. By lunch time I was really wishing I had skis on. But by the end of the day some things were maybe starting to come together. We were very sore after and have still not completely recovered!

Well that was our trip in a nutshell. We didn't take any pictures except for New Years, but I'll put those ones up soon.
