Okay, well actually TODAY is Mardi Gras so it is not really over. I think we are going to the Greenville Parade in downtown-ish Dallas. But no matter what we do tonight it will not really compare to the REAL THING this weekend in New Orleans. It was a blast! I am pretty sad it's over. :(
The whole weekend was really fun, starting with a good night out on Thursday. Then the drive to Baton Rouge on Friday was a party the whole way, everyone got smashed (except the driver of course, thanks Ted). We rolled in to pick up Conor at the Baton Rouge airport probably around 11pm, Sean called that the "immaculate reception" as we pulled up to the curb at the airport just as Conor was stepping out the door - what timing! Then we hit a local club and stayed the night in Baton Rouge.
Saturday morning we made our way to New Orleans and went for a whole weekend of revelry and debauchery. 8 people in the RV was a little tight, but I have to say it worked out pretty well. We were hardly in there anyway!
Conor and Sean discovered that Canada flag beads are a big hit with Mardi Gras girls. Pokemon discovered that the streets in New Orleans DO have names. Ted learned how much hand grenade is too much. Rick found out that it is possible to stay with your friends in a crowd. Wayne kept the funk off his head. Tina learned why Wal-Mart shoes only cost $10. And I learned that in some circumstances, sleeping under a bed can be more comfortable than sleeping on it. So, it was a very educational learning experience.
Now I can't believe I am sitting here back at work like a "normal person". Ted said this morning that he was looking forward to things getting back to routine. I don't feel like that at all, I feel sad. Maybe I should've been a rock star!

Hey, thanks for the awesome time in New Orleans. I had a blast! I got to experience Mardi Gras firsthand (spent most of it drunk), met some awesome people...who could ask for any better than that? Canada Day 2004 in Ottawa anyone? :)
