We went to Houston this weekend to meet fellow blogger Guy who was there on a business trip. It was pretty fun. Friday night we ate at a great thai food restaurant, played games at Dave & Busters, and drank lots. Saturday we toured around downtown and just hung out.

Downtown Houston seems much like downtown Dallas... pretty dead. It seems that in the big Texas cities the downtown cores are just "business centers" and not "cultural centers". They have big office buildings but very few restaurants or bars, and are basically empty on weekends and evenings.

Guy had a Saturday evening function and his conference started early Sunday morning so we decided to head back to Dallas Saturday night. All in all it was a fun visit.

The only other news from the weekend, is that we saw the Matrix Reloaded. It was pretty cool. I got bitten by fire ants while doing some garden work Sunday, OUCH, those things are extremely itchy!

Today is the scheduled birthday (c-section due date) of our friends Thuy and Sinh's baby, so I'll be thinking of them today and sending good vibes, and will probably post an update later on.
