For the first time, Ted and I have bought and hung curtains in our house. In previous houses, and this one up until now, we just went with what was there - usually blinds in some rooms and some bare windows.

In our current house we had blinds on most windows, but the two in the living room / dining room were just left bare - which was annoying since those are at the front of the house too, so anyone out on the street could just look in.

Finally we got off our butts to do something about it. JCPenney had a 50% off sale on so that helped too. So now our windows are all covered with curtains (or drapes - does anybody know if there is a difference between those two?) and I think it looks pretty good.
