We're still moving along with our plans for the "home office". I think we've decided on the furniture we want to put in the room, Logic modular by Winners Only, in "dark oak" color. I like this stuff, I like that it's modular so we can pick the pieces we like, and it seems like it's good quality. The only thing I wonder about is, what kind of furniture company would name their brand "Winners Only"???
Anyway, over the weekend we installed the Pergo flooring. It was our second time doing this, in August we did an install in the living/dining room. I think we learned something: it IS actually important to make sure the subfloor is level. Last time we thought, "well it's ALMOST level" and the idea of trying to level it was daunting, so we just went ahead and put the floor down. This resulted in some "bouncy" spots. So far it hasn't caused any actual cracking or other serious problems! Anyway, this time around, we used a concrete "self-leveling compound" to make the office floor more level. It seems to have really helped, this time we have no bouncy spots. This time we had to do doorways which we didn't have in the living room and they were pretty hard. But for the most part it worked out pretty well.
I'll have to post some pics soon.
