I am sad to report that the Pottle family dog, Kaily, passed away on Tuesday June 15. She was approximately 13 years old and apparently just died of old age, peacefully and at home, without euthanasia (which is good as my parents had been agonizing over the decision of when to let her go). She had been mostly in good health right up to the end, just deteriorating in the last few weeks. We adopted Kaily at about 1 year of age from the SPCA, and she had a good life living with my parents in St. Philip's NL ever since.
She is pictured here on a hike with my sister Susan a few years ago.

Sorry to hear about this. Family pets are part of your family. Glad to hear that the passing went about as smooth as it could go with family being around Kaily the whole time.
