It's a girl! We are very proud to announce that Peyton Claire Stuchberry was born yesterday, August 21st, at 12:39pm weighing 6lbs 11oz and 20.5 inches long.

Me and the baby are both doing fine. Labor started around 1am so it was relatively short for a first baby (so they tell me) but intense. She was born vaginally and with no pain medication, so I am happy I'm not recovering from a c-section right now anyway, although I am really sore! I did need a last minute episiotomy because her heart rate started dropping during the pushing, that was a little scary, but once that was done she was born very quickly.

We came home from the hospital around 3:30 today. It is nice to be home!

There are pics in the gallery at Peyton's Birthday Album. When I get a chance I'll go through the guesses and see who was closest, I can't remember what everyone said right now!

Congrats you guys ! (And also to Nanny & Poppy Pottle and Auntie Susan !)

So cute . . . kinda makes us want to hop a plane to Texas !

I especially like the "baby drinking beer by the
pool" photos !

We will give you a call later in the week after you have had some time to savour the moment. Love, PJ & Jan.

Very best wishes to you, Janice and Ted! Isn't this an amazing time?
Peyton is gorgeous and I'm glad the birth went so well for you.

Thanks everyone! Ooops, I just noticed I said 12:39am up there, should have been "12:39pm", I have edited it now.

Also removed the "41 weeks pregnant" counter!

The first night home went pretty well. We are learning about breastfeeding. It's a little frustrating but I think we're doing okay. Peyton's about to have her first outing pretty soon here since we need to make a run out to the store.

You all look pretty happy and I can understand why.
Lots of Love,

All my very best to you and your family. What a very exciting time!! Oh, the sleepless nights. I'm glad it sounds like the birth went the way you want it (don't you just want to hit someone now who calls that first part of labour, 'inactive' labour!).
It is absolutely a miracle to have a new little one in the world, and really amazing to watch your child grow.
I am so excited for you and your husband!

Congratulations Janice & Ted on the newest addition to your family. What a precious gift you've been given. Peyton is beautiful and so is her name. We just love it. Glad to hear you are all doing fine. Life as you know it will never be the same. You can't imagine how much better it will be. Everyday will bring exciting new experiences. Enjoy and treasure every minute. Oh, contrary to what they say, the "Terrible Two's" aren't that bad--Rice Krispies all over the floor can actually be fun. We'll keep checking for pictures.

Best Regards,
Matt

Congrats! Do I win anything for making the right guess. I like the name! Have you thought about combining your last names? I think Peyton Pottleberry has a nice ring!

Love, hugs, and kisses to you all!
