09.21.2004 01:45pm - Stay At Home Mom

Comments (2)

I am now into my second week staying home alone with Peyton, since my parents left on September 6th and Ted went back to work last week. It's going alright, although I'm not sure where the days go!

Since Peyton is only entertained for SHORT periods of time by a swing or bouncy chair, I find it hard to get anything done - even eating breakfast or having a shower is a challenge. Even now as I type this she is in a front-pack carrier and getting annoyed that I'm not up walking around!

I just try to remind myself that my only priority is taking care of this baby and if I'm getting that done then everything is fine. And taking care of the baby is going pretty well. She is one month old today! She had her 1 month check-up this morning and is now 9 lbs 4oz so she is growing like a weed. We will try to put up more pictures at some point.

Just viewed your new pictures on a slow morning at work. Peyton is growing so fast, it's unbelievable. You're clearly having great success at breastfeeding, Janice. And hang in there with the constant interruptions; before you know it, things will settle down and you'll be able to look back on this time as the most rewarding challenge of your life.
Much love to all of you.
Mom
