Yes, yes, we have been home and "back to the grind" now for 2 weeks and I haven't written anything! Oooops. That is because any spare moments I could get on the computer I have been using to work on the new rescue bulletin board.
Christmas was awesome. We had a really fun time in St. John's. Peyton, of course, was too young to be excited about it or anything, but she still got lots of presents! Lots of new clothes, some new toys and books, and a jolly jumper, which she loves! (Unfortunately it was too big to bring home, and we couldn't find a comparable one here, so hers is currently being shipped to Dallas for her).
We had a really interesting Christmas as it was not only Peyton's first, but also my sister's boyfriend's whole family came from Germany to spend the holidays with us! That was really fun.
I don't know if it was the travelling, or the beginning of teething, or what but Peyton has been especially difficult. Just before Christmas I was thinking how things were so much easier now that she is not a newborn anymore, but I spoke too fast! She has been fussy and VERY hard to get to sleep (for naps or the night) and VERY hard to get to stay to sleep also. Last night we managed to have a pretty good night for the first time in a long time, so maybe we're starting a new phase now.... I hope so!!! *yawn*
Big site news for brindleweb is the introduction of the new board software for the rescue message board. We were using a pretty basic, bare bones kind of software, and some arguments over having important posts scroll off down the board prompted me to try out some new software that has lots more features. After trialing it for a week the board members voted to keep it. I think it'll take some getting used to, but we'll probably wonder how we did without it once we are used to it.
That's all for now...
