Yes, we're all still here and doing fine! I am not getting much time to myself these days. Peyton must be going through a "high needs phase" (at least I *hope* it's a phase)!

She is 5.5 months old now and still super-cute. Check it out for yourself at her photo gallery, I just uploaded new pictures tonight! She is keeping us very busy. Even when I do get a few minutes on the computer I usually spend it researching stuff for her - for example, I've been reading up on carseats lately since she will soon outgrow her infant carrier. Peyton has started Kindermusik classes. We've only been to one class so far but I think she will really like it. She has also started eating a little bit of cereal, discovered her toes, and learned how to sit up unassisted (although she still flops over now and then).

In other news, we visited Seattle and Vancouver at the end of January for a few days, that was fun. Ted had a business trip in Seattle so Peyton and I tagged along and visited Bruce, Tanya, Brandon, Kayla and Freddie. Then we scooted up to Vancouver for a quick visit on the weekend.

The dogs and cats are all doing great.

That's all for now, hopefully it won't be soooo long before the next update!

Hi Janice,

Thanks so much for the new pictures! They made my day! It's so much fun to see Peyton grow - and she seems to be doing so very rapidly! Yikes! I will look at these every day till our next visit!

Take care,

Love to all of you!

this is the most fun stage before they are mobile and triping you at the stove.

So happy that you can be home with her.

Hi Jan,

I got your message last night but we didn't get home from a winter camping trip in Keji National Park until 10 pm and were absolutely exhausted.

I really hope there are new Peyton pictures again soon!

And I'm also hoping you will pick me up in Halifax on your way to Ottawa ;) I'm so jealous of Mom and Dad's trip down this week!

Lots of love,
Susan

Hi Cheryl, thanks for posting! It is great that I can be home with Peyton. I went in to work for a visit last week and almost everyone told me how glad they were that they had (or sorry that they hadn't) stayed home with their kids, so that was cool. She is pretty fun right now, I'll agree that this is a good stage.

Sue, Keji National Park sounds cool! Hopefully I'll get to talk to you soon and hear all about it. As for picking you up in Halifax, that sounds fun, we'll have to see how it all works out but it's definitely a possibility. But shhh... I haven't mentioned anything about Ottawa yet on the 'blog yet, wanted to get the details all concrete first!
