In spite of my upbeat entry last week, Ted's father succumbed to his illness Thursday evening. Ted flew up Friday morning to be with his family. My parents are in Dallas for a visit so Peyton and I didn't go with him. The memorial service was today.

Very sorry for your loss. Something similiar happend in my family...Eric was 6 weeks old when my mother-in law suddenly passed away. Of course, we took comfort in the fact she got to be with Eric, but it was a very tough time.

Thanks everyone! It really is comforting to see all your responses.
Sadly, Peyton and her Grandpa Stuchberry did NOT meet! We were planning to visit in April for the first time. We did go to Vancouver for a weekend already but he was in Vernon and the timing just didn't work out - of course, we thought we had plenty of time and no hurry. That is so sad. You just never know, when it might be the last time you see somebody. :(

Brindle and family! I just recovered from a computer crash to read this! I'm so sorry for your loss - so, so, sorry. Try to take time for yourselves - rest and recover. The first of everything after a loss such as this is so hard - I know this Easter season is will be particularly hard. Take care. You are in my heart.
