Part 2 of "Lots of Stuff Going On".... On Thursday (Sept. 22) I took off for a visit home to St. John's NL, my first attempt at flying alone with Peyton. It was a bit exhausting getting through security with her and all our gear, and also being the sole provider of entertainment during the flights. However, I think it went pretty well.
The visit home was really nice. My sister and her boyfriend were also in town for a wedding, and the trip coincided with my dad's birthday as well. We only stayed 5 days, which went very fast for us - but slower, I think, for Peyton's Daddy who was lonely at home in Ottawa!
Peyton seemed "a little off" now and then during the trip. For the most part she was fine (and everyone was thrilled that she was very outgoing and friendly, not shy at all). However, she had a bit of a runny nose and now and then seemed to be kind of "dopey". One night she even had a really high fever and we put a call in to a pediatric nurse, who told us that as long as the fever was responding to tylenol (it was) not to worry... to be continued...
