We just found out that our Log-In Date (LID) with the Chinese Center for Adoption Affairs (CCAA) is July 15 2006. This is important because the CCAA processes the files it receives in the order of the log-in date it gives each one. So, now we know exactly where we are in the "queue".

Here's the updated rundown of our timeline so far:
- first homestudy interview: January 10 2006
- last homestudy interview: February 7 2006
- homestudy document completed: April 13 2006
- homestudy forwarded to Ontario ministry: April 24 2006
- Ontario ministry approval received: June 16 2006
- Dossier To China (DTC): June 26 2006
- Log-In Date (LID): July 15 2006

They just (I think a week or so ago) sent out the referrals for the folks who were logged in up to July 13 2005. So, for them it took just over a year to referral. If the timeline stays the same we could expect our referral around this time next year, and then to be travelling to China a few months after that. I would LOVE it if that happened, but all rumours point to the wait continuing to lengthen, so who knows.
