Today I am 34 weeks pregnant and things are going really well. I am feeling pretty well, I am looking pretty fat, and as far as we can tell the baby seems to be doing great.
As I wrote last time I have had an array of minor complaints that I don't even know if they are pregnancy related or not, but nothing serious. Mostly I have seemed to have strange allergies. I have never had allergies before, but suddenly during this pregnancy I have been having itchy red eyes, stuffy runny nose, and wheezy breathing. That is no fun. This does not seem to be a "usual side effect" of being pregnant, but a few people have told me they've heard of similar things. I just hope that it IS pregnancy related because that would mostly likely meant that it will go away once the pregnancy is over, right? I hope so. Anyway, even those symptoms have seemed to be better in the last few weeks so maybe it's over already. Other than those things I've been doing fine. Lately I have had some heartburn, and a need to visit the washroom extremely frequently.
Compared with my previous pregnancy, things seem mostly the same. My weight gain has been pretty close to the same. People ask me if I'm "carrying differently" but I can't really tell. I will say that this baby seems much more active than I remember Peyton being - at times even painfully so. I hope that doesn't mean we're in for a hyper kid!
We've been going to the midwife once a month for ages, but starting at 30 weeks we've been going twice a month. After 36 weeks I think we have to start going every week. The reports in there have always been totally positive. They say I'm really healthy, blood pressure is good, baby's heartbeat is good, uterus growth on target, etc.
June 16th is coming up really quickly! I think this pregnancy has gone much more quickly than the last one - probably because I've been so busy with Peyton, the new house stuff, trying to sell the current house, and all that!
