Hope everybody is wearing green today! I found out, surprisingly, that St. Patty's Day is a big deal in Dallas. I mean, not a school holiday or anything like it was in Newfoundland (a LOT of Irish people there) but a pretty big party. They had a parade and a lot of partying this weekend, and lots of stuff going on tonight as well.

... they are really really really good live! We bought the CD and I thought it was okay. We got tickets to the concert (last night at the Bronco Bowl) because our friends were going. But it was amazing. The star of the show (for me) was guitarist Tom Morello, is there anything he can't make that guitar do? And with that hardcore-yet-funky style too. Now I know I've got to pay more attention to the CD. And it made me feel like I should pull out the Rage CDs and revisit those too. Wow, wow, WOW.

Okay, well actually TODAY is Mardi Gras so it is not really over. I think we are going to the Greenville Parade in downtown-ish Dallas. But no matter what we do tonight it will not really compare to the REAL THING this weekend in New Orleans. It was a blast! I am pretty sad it's over. :( ...more
