In spite of my upbeat entry last week, Ted's father succumbed to his illness Thursday evening. Ted flew up Friday morning to be with his family. My parents are in Dallas for a visit so Peyton and I didn't go with him. The memorial service was today.

Ted's dad is recovering from a scary bout with... general medical ickyness! He went to the hospital a week ago with a strange blood clotting problem and ended up being very sick, but he seems to be on a slow road to recovery now, thank goodness.
